The Green Hell, as Jackie Stewart named it. 73 corners winding through the Eifel forest. Niki Laudas horrific crash here in 1976 nearly killed him and led to F1 abandoning the circuit. Still used for the 24 Hours of Nurburgring endurance race. lap record is 5m19s by Timo Bernhard in a Porsche 919 Evo. Public track days attract 2 million visitors per year.
