The first MotoGP circuit in the Middle East. The entire circuit is floodlit for night races, using 3,600 light fixtures. Surrounded by desert, sand on the track surface can be a hazard. The main straight is 1.068 km long. Hosts the season-opening MotoGP round. Built at a cost of 58 million dollars. Located 30 km north of Doha.
