About Circuit de Charade
A rollercoaster around an extinct volcano above Clermont-Ferrand. Over 50 corners on the original 8 km layout. Volcanic grit made the surface slick and abrasive. Hosted the French Grand Prix four times, the last in 1972. A shortened version still hosts historic meetings.
