About Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Built on the man-made Notre Dame Island in Montreal. Named after Gilles Villeneuve after his death in 1982. The Wall of Champions at the final chicane has claimed many top drivers including Schumacher, Hill, and Villeneuve. The long back straight leads into a heavy braking zone for overtaking. Surrounded by water on three sides. The grandstands offer views of the Montreal skyline.
