The only MotoGP circuit in South America. Located in the province of Santiago del Estero. Rebuilt in 2012 to FIM standards. The long back straight with heavy braking at Turn 5 provides overtaking. The circuit sits in a hot, arid region where temperatures regularly exceed 40C. Has boosted motorsport interest throughout South America since reopening.
