About Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet

Built on reclaimed swamp land in Rio de Janeiro. Hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix ten times between 1978 and 1989. A bumpy, punishing track with long straights and concrete walls. The circuit was later torn down to build venues for the 2016 Olympics. Its remains sit beside Olympic parkland.
